In the opinion of the Grimmspeed team, the OEM Subaru crank pulley has been a cause for concern ever since its original design. It is relatively heavy, prone to catastrophic failure, and quite unsightly. We couldn't continue using it on our cars. Reducing rotational mass while maintaining safety can enhance reliability and result in quicker revs! With our Lightweight Crank Pulley, we spared no effort. It is CNC machined from 6061 T6 Aluminum, leaving no compromises. It weighs 3.5 lbs lighter than the OEM counterpart while increasing durability. The pulley features a timing mark and a perfectly cut keyway, making installation a breeze. We carefully designed the pulley to achieve optimal weight for performance, avoiding misfire CELs and engine hesitation.

Important Notice:
After careful analysis, we have determined that the OEM crank pulley does not function as a traditional V8 engine damper, which is designed to reduce harmonic vibrations. While the elastomer component of the pulley does provide some noise dampening for engine accessories such as the alternator, power steering pump, and A/C compressor, our extensive experience has shown that any increase in noise is negligible and barely noticeable.
